Born in Tennessee, James is the descendant of 4 generations of coal miners in Southeastern Kentucky. Having served his communities as a firefighter for 20 years, he then became Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky F&AM in 2021. Throughout his life experiences, he continually nurtured and cultivated his love of drawing and painting. He has been featured in various magazines and showcased his art in several galleries across Kentucky. He is happily married to his lovely wife and confidant Sam, who helps manage his day-to-day business as he continues to be creative in his studio/ office.
